For many people, astrology is already part of how they think about themselves: a shared language for personality, relationships, and life’s seasons. Astrology-informed therapy welcomes that language into the therapy room, alongside the evidence-based care at the heart of every session.
What it is
Your therapy is still grounded in DBT-informed, evidence-based practice. What changes is the lens. Your birth chart becomes a set of symbols and stories we can explore together. A placement might open a conversation about how you handle conflict; a transit might become a prompt to reflect on a period of change. The meaning always comes from you, not from the chart.
What it isn’t
- It isn’t fortune-telling or prediction.
- It isn’t used to diagnose anything or to explain away your experiences.
- It doesn’t replace clinical assessment, treatment planning, or skills practice.
- It’s never required. Standard psychotherapy is always available.
Who it’s for
Astrology-informed therapy may be a good fit if astrology already feels meaningful to you, if you’re drawn to symbolic or reflective ways of understanding yourself, or if you want a fresh entry point into conversations that have felt hard to start. You don’t need to know anything about astrology to begin.
How sessions work
After your intake, I’ll ask for your birth date, time, and place through the secure client portal (never through this website). I prepare your chart before we begin, and we bring it into sessions when it feels useful, sometimes a lot and sometimes not at all. For couples, we can also look at how your charts interact.
Because this option includes chart preparation and integration, it’s offered at a different rate than standard psychotherapy. See fees.
Can I switch?
Yes. You can add astrology later or set it aside at any point. It’s your therapy, and you decide what belongs in it.
